About Dr Aish
Dr Aish grew up reading James Herriot’s ‘All creatures great and small’ books and always wanted to be a vet. She graduated with honors from the University of Melbourne in 2003. Dr Aish worked in small animal clinics in Melbourne and London prior to starting Vets at Home in 2010. Vets at Home originally was a full practice visiting service. It has now evolved to an integrative care clinic with a focus in mobility, nutrition and holistic care.
Dr Aish has a graduate diploma in Animal Biomechanical Medicine (using techniques derived from osteopathy and chiropractic) and is certified in Veterinary Acupuncture with additional training in the acupuncture balance method. She practices integrative veterinary medicine, combining western medicine with acupuncture, chinese herbal medicine, lifestyle advice, massage and food therapy (food as medicine) where appropriate.
Dr Aish is a partner in health with her patients owners. She likes to empower owners with better health choices for their pets, tailored to suit the household and pets individual needs. She has a special fondness for caring for senior patients who often don’t like traveling to clinics. She enjoys getting to know her patients and making life easier for them and their owners.
Outside of Vets at Home, Dr Aish is an anatomy demonstrator at the University of Melbourne. She is also assisting in development of the Animal Biomechanical Medicine course.
